By now, it's safe to assume you know what this page is for. So let's get to business.Jikan-Trick!! The Perfect Day Murder is a 6.5 chapter murder mystery social combat game. It's built on a hacked together version of the third edition of Heaven & Earth that I've affectionately called Time & Textbooks. There's a full primer in the document linked there. But if you need a teaser, read on.On Friday, October 3rd, 2014, in a world slightly next-door to our own, everything that could possibly go wrong, does. The campus of West Wells University is in utter havoc. The vending machines spit out the wrong drinks, people's things are going missing, coursework is all graded incorrectly, and there's a loose snake on the grounds. As if it couldn't get any worse, at around 1:15 PM, a cheer student named Andrew Montoya collapses during practice. His exact cause of death is unknown. Some time later, it's the morning of Friday, October 3rd, 2014 once again. For some reason, the campus is stuck reliving this day and it's horrifying events. You will take on the role of a fellow student, faculty member, or another person who might happen to be on campus that day. You'll repeat the events of October 3rd until you can unravel the how and why. Not just of the death of Andrew, but of all the other odd goings on and conspiratorial acts on campus. It's up to you, now, to solve the Perfect Day Murder. This game will focus on the likewise comic and tragic aspects of this horrific crime - drawing deep inspiration from the likes of Danganronpa, Raincode, Ace Attorney, and other deduction type games. The Time & Textbooks system aims to gamify the process of these sorts of debates and investigations, so having real talent for the skill of debate is welcome but hopefully not necessary. The game is designed for around 4-6 players. I will be taking player and character submissions privately and selecting based off the results. I'll announce the accepted players when I'm satisfied with the party composition.
